SOCIAL (BUSINESS) NETWORKS
[ WARNING: should you take to social networking ... please be aware, it is very addictive ]
You have vaguely heard about it… in short it boils down to making contact with fellow entrepreneurs via internet. Personally, I limit myself to the 'business' networks.
Take your time compiling your business profile and do not forget to upload a clear and friendly picture of yourself. People tend to look at the picture first. If you can upload product images or the likes, make sure to add those too.
Clearly describe, "who you are", "what your position is", "what you do", "which service and/or product you supply" and "what you wish to accomplish through collaboration".
In the 'virtual' network the rules are the same as we are used to in regular networks; "if you do not give, you cannot take."
A successful "virtual" networker is a networker with 100+ connections. That is quite a lot and you will soon notice that it takes time to achieve this, but you can accomplish a lot if you do.
