SITE RISKS
You are the (proud) owner of a website. However, there are risks involved that you may not be aware of.
- You will be susceptible to spam-mail. After all, spammers will know how to find you once you have activated your info@ email address.
- Your website can be hacked.
- It can become "outdated", which means it is past its use-by-date. For example, the latest news is a few years old or the information or prices/rates mentioned are no longer up-to-date, or maybe your graphic design is old fashioned.
- You reply to requests for information too late.
- Your website might contain empty pages or 'errors'.
- Your contact information cannot be found.
- Your website might contain 'dead end' pages. In other words, a visitor might find a page on your website through Google, but gets stuck [Tip: check Google and enter "site:www.yourdomaine.com". An overview of all the indexed pages on your website will appear and you will see exactly what shows up]
